Author of Death Threats Against Oncologist Identified

 The author of the death threats sent via social media to the head of Oncology in L'Aquila, Luciano Mutti, while he was treating the boss Matteo Messina Denaro, has been identified. He is a twenty-year-old from the province of Salerno who had been untraceable for months. The investigators of the District Anti-Mafia of L'Aquila have located and identified him in Turin.

The young man, who had sent the most messages, had urged the oncologist to provide the best care to Messina Denaro, otherwise he would "blow him up like Falcone and Borsellino". The doctor was immediately assigned a guard. It seems unlikely that the young man is actually affiliated with the mafia world, although he remains under investigation for threats made in a mafia-like manner.
