Two Brothers Arrested in Trapani for Shooting

The Trapani Police have arrested two brothers from Trapani on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm, carrying a firearm in a public place, and aggravated threat.

The arrests follow a shooting that took place on the night of March 9-10 in front of a bar in Trapani, in which a 21-year-old man was shot in the leg.

The investigation, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office, led to the identification of the two brothers, one of whom is a minor. The shooting is believed to be the result of a fight that broke out a few hours earlier in front of a nightclub between the victim and the younger of the two brothers.

The two brothers reportedly went to the victim's house in via Calatafimi and, after a new argument, the minor allegedly shot the victim in the leg.

Surveillance footage captured the scene of the shooting, showing the gun jamming several times before firing. The victim was treated for his injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.

The gun used, a .38 caliber revolver with the serial number scratched off, was recovered this morning with the cooperation of one of the two arrested brothers.

The two brothers have been taken to jail.

This is a serious incident of violence that has shocked the city of Trapani.

The police investigation is ongoing to determine whether anyone else was involved in the incident.
