Sicilian Granita Crowned World's Best at Sigep 2025
A Sicilian creation has once again triumphed in the world of artisan desserts: Palermo's master gelato maker, Fabio Loriano, has won the award for the best granita in the world at Sigep 2025, the prestigious international exhibition of artisan gelato, pastry, bakery, and coffee held in Rimini.
The competition featured over 30 granitas from around the globe, judged by a panel of five industry experts. Loriano's creation, named "Grazia of Almonds and Honey," clinched the top spot with its perfect balance of tradition, innovation, and quality ingredients.
This victory further confirms the excellence of Sicilian craftsmanship, which continues to stand out at international events and transform traditional roots into high-quality products recognized worldwide.
